Upstate New York sees peak wasp activity from June through September. As colonies grow throughout summer, they become increasingly aggressive—especially in August and September.

Stinging Insects We Handle

🐝 Northern Paper Wasps

Build papery nests in sheltered spots around homes. Less aggressive than yellow jackets but will sting if threatened.

🐝 Eastern Yellow Jackets

Nest underground or in structures. Become very aggressive in late summer as colonies peak.

🐝 Bald-Faced Hornets

Create large football-shaped nests in trees. Extremely protective of their colony.

⚠️ Safety first: Never attempt to remove a wasp or hornet nest yourself. Disturbing a colony can trigger mass stinging. People with allergies face life-threatening risk.

Our Removal Process

We identify all nesting locations, treat during evening hours when wasps return to the nest, and eliminate the entire colony to prevent rebuilding.

After treatment, we recommend preventive measures to discourage future nesting—sealing entry points, removing attractants, and scheduling monitoring during peak season.
